Yoda is a friendly, confident, and cheeky boy with loads of personality. He loves company, and he isn’t afraid to scream the house down if he thinks he could do with a few more cuddles or a bit more play. Initially Yoda came to us as a quiet, somewhat cranky thing who did little more than sleep and request brief cuddles. But after noticing a dental problem and having six of his teeth extracted, we’ve watched him grow brighter and more mischievous each day. He’s shown himself to be a true Burmese, with a love for talking, zooming around the house, wrestling socks, and of course, affection. Whilst Yoda is healing beautifully following his dental surgery, he does have a tendency to drool. That said, he is well aware of his beauty, and despite the dribble, struts about with pride. From his 9 years of life experience, Yoda has developed a method of communication that his forever family will need to be conscious of. Yoda adores company, and will regularly track down his favourite people to wriggle his head under their hands and share some love. However, if you’re doing something he doesn’t like, rather than using his voice Yoda will use his facial expressions, or a quick huff through his nose to let you know he’s not enjoying it. If he feels these signals haven’t been received, he may swat or give you a warning bite. As Yoda heals and feels more comfortable, these reactions are becoming less common; but he will need some patience and understanding as he continues to learn they’re not necessary. For this reason, Yoda would be better suited to a family with no children or older children, who would be comfortable exploring the best way to enjoy snuggle time with him. Whilst Yoda has tolerated short periods of having furry housemates, he would thrive in a household where he can be the centre of your universe. Yoda would love a family who will keep him company, chat to him, play with him, but above all - shower him with as much love and affection as he will undoubtedly give them.
