Adoption Process

Thank you for submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) form for this rescue pet! The pet’s Case Manager and Foster Carer will review your EOI and then respond to you as soon as possible. If it sounds like you and the foster pet are a good match, we will arrange a no-obligation meet and greet for you. At this meeting you get the opportunity to spend some time with the animal, then we ask you to take some time to think about it afterwards and let the Case Manager know your feelings the next day. If you want to go ahead with an adoption, and FFAR think that you would make a good match, we offer a four-week trial, and the services of our behaviourist at no cost to you during that time, should you have any issues. If the adoption doesn't work out for any reason, we will take your rescue pet back for a full refund within those four weeks; we will also take your adopted animal back at any point during their lifetime lifetime should you become unable to care for them. A bit like a no-risk guarantee! We want each adoption to go swimmingly for both the adopter and animal and never want these special four-leggeds to be homeless again.

Hobbes is a handsome ginger tabby cat. Give him a fluffy comfy bed and he will happily nap in it all day long. When he’s not napping, Hobbes enjoys playing with his brother Calvin and trying to find the highest ground. He can be both friendly and independent. While he won’t always initiate cuddles, he will join you on the couch to watch some TV. Hobbes & Calvin would love to be adopted together, however, they can be adopted separately. Adopting a bonded pair has lots of positives! Such as, having a companion to play and cuddle with, reducing boredom and anxiety. Adopting a bonded pair can be especially great for adopters that work full-time, taking away the stresses of leaving a loved pet at home alone, and knowing they will have company during the working day.
