Adoption Process

Thank you for submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) form for this rescue pet! The pet’s Case Manager and Foster Carer will review your EOI and then respond to you as soon as possible. If it sounds like you and the foster pet are a good match, we will arrange a no-obligation meet and greet for you. At this meeting you get the opportunity to spend some time with the animal, then we ask you to take some time to think about it afterwards and let the Case Manager know your feelings the next day. If you want to go ahead with an adoption, and FFAR think that you would make a good match, we offer a four-week trial, and the services of our behaviourist at no cost to you during that time, should you have any issues. If the adoption doesn't work out for any reason, we will take your rescue pet back for a full refund within those four weeks; we will also take your adopted animal back at any point during their lifetime lifetime should you become unable to care for them. A bit like a no-risk guarantee! We want each adoption to go swimmingly for both the adopter and animal and never want these special four-leggeds to be homeless again.

This little purr machine loves a chin scratch and will surprise you with how loud her purring is for such a compact girl. Initially a bit shy when coming into foster care this girl has really blossomed with some regular TLC and slow confidence building, she now greets her foster mum at the door with a squeaky meow and tail wiggles. Holly will find every nook and cranny in your home and if it is warm and cosy she will settle in for a good nap… but don’t be fooled, this girl LOVES a boisterous game and can be very athletic when the mood strikes her! She likes to venture around the house and when she is ready for some attention she will squeak at you and pop up onto your lap for some chin scratches and pats, when it is nap time she will pop into her favourite spot and take one of her toys to bed with her. If she can’t be found all it takes is calling her name and this sweet girl will pop out of her napping place and greet you enthusiastically. A very affectionate girl, Holly would benefit from having a feline friend to help show her the ropes and build her confidence in new environments. With her beautiful, soft, snow white coat she will need to be an indoor cat so she doesn’t get sunburnt on her pretty pink nose and ears. At this stage Holly is still working on her confidence with calm, friendly dogs and is full of beans like any kitten her age!
