Adoption Process

Thank you for submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) form for this rescue pet! The pet’s Case Manager and Foster Carer will review your EOI and then respond to you as soon as possible. If it sounds like you and the foster pet are a good match, we will arrange a no-obligation meet and greet for you. At this meeting you get the opportunity to spend some time with the animal, then we ask you to take some time to think about it afterwards and let the Case Manager know your feelings the next day. If you want to go ahead with an adoption, and FFAR think that you would make a good match, we offer a four-week trial, and the services of our behaviourist at no cost to you during that time, should you have any issues. If the adoption doesn't work out for any reason, we will take your rescue pet back for a full refund within those four weeks; we will also take your adopted animal back at any point during their lifetime lifetime should you become unable to care for them. A bit like a no-risk guarantee! We want each adoption to go swimmingly for both the adopter and animal and never want these special four-leggeds to be homeless again.

Hi, my name is Bark Obama AKA Mr President and I am a beautiful 12 months old Bull Arab. I have not had the easier start to life, but I am full of love and affection and I absolutely adore people. I am a true master of giving kisses and hugs. I am a very smart boy and I have been working very hard on my trick and obedience training – I can sit, drop and I have excellent recall, so if you let me loose to stretch my long legs and run in a park, I am sure to come back. I have been working on sitting and waiting for my food and to be allowed to come inside the house. Speaking of food – I LOVE IT and I respond very well to training with treats as rewards. I have been getting really good at walking nicely on the lead and sitting before crossing any roads, however it would be great if my forever family would continue my training. I am still very young, strong and full of energy, so I do need lots of exercise. I love to run, go for long walks and play with toys. And I love nothing more than to have a snooze on my bed after a nice, tiring walk. I love other dogs, however I am not great with cats as I think it’s fun to chase them, which they don’t seem to agree with (weird!). I am also great with kids and have been complimented many times about how calm and still I can be when children are patting me. I do have separation anxiety, so it would be great if my humans would be home with me more often than not, however give me a nice, juicy bone or some toys and I can keep myself entertained for a while without any problems. All I want is to be loved by my forever family and if you give me affection and love, I will return it tenfold. Will you be my happily ever after?
