Adoption Process

Thank you for submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) form for this rescue pet! The pet’s Case Manager and Foster Carer will review your EOI and then respond to you as soon as possible. If it sounds like you and the foster pet are a good match, we will arrange a no-obligation meet and greet for you. At this meeting you get the opportunity to spend some time with the animal, then we ask you to take some time to think about it afterwards and let the Case Manager know your feelings the next day. If you want to go ahead with an adoption, and FFAR think that you would make a good match, we offer a four-week trial, and the services of our behaviourist at no cost to you during that time, should you have any issues. If the adoption doesn't work out for any reason, we will take your rescue pet back for a full refund within those four weeks; we will also take your adopted animal back at any point during their lifetime lifetime should you become unable to care for them. A bit like a no-risk guarantee! We want each adoption to go swimmingly for both the adopter and animal and never want these special four-leggeds to be homeless again.

Gorgeous young Geoffrey came into care from a country pound. While initially a little shy, it didn't take him long to realise that pats were THE GREATEST THING ON EARTH and he'll do anything for your affection! If that suits you, Geoffrey would love to meet you! This happy, obedient 2 year old boy is a ray of sunshine with a wonderful personality that takes everything in his stride. He'd likely be happy sharing his home with another dog but is also content with hanging out by himself while you go to work. He is very well behaved when left alone and is not destructive. Geoffrey is good with kids but not with cats. He'll even jump in the shower if you think he needs a wash (somewhat reluctantly perhaps, but he really aims to please!) He does need a little practice with walking better on lead and containing his excitement when he sees other doggies.
