Adoption Process

Thank you for submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) form for this rescue pet! The pet’s Case Manager and Foster Carer will review your EOI and then respond to you as soon as possible. If it sounds like you and the foster pet are a good match, we will arrange a no-obligation meet and greet for you. At this meeting you get the opportunity to spend some time with the animal, then we ask you to take some time to think about it afterwards and let the Case Manager know your feelings the next day. If you want to go ahead with an adoption, and FFAR think that you would make a good match, we offer a four-week trial, and the services of our behaviourist at no cost to you during that time, should you have any issues. If the adoption doesn't work out for any reason, we will take your rescue pet back for a full refund within those four weeks; we will also take your adopted animal back at any point during their lifetime lifetime should you become unable to care for them. A bit like a no-risk guarantee! We want each adoption to go swimmingly for both the adopter and animal and never want these special four-leggeds to be homeless again.

Jack wants to join your family and share all the love he has to give. Jack is an 11 month old TriColour Jack Russell Terrier and he is an adorable, fun, cuddly dog. He is house-trained, knows how to use the doggy door and is a perfect all-rounder. He is great with dogs, cats, kids, adults and elderly people. Jack is crate trained and sleeps through the night without a peep. Jack loves his food so he is super easy to train; he will need to continue his training as he is still very young and he would do well in a group dog training class. Jack needs to go to a home with another dog for company. While he loves people, he needs a doggy friend to play with. He is currently fostered in a home with 4 other dogs and 3 adults. He has lived with cats before. Jack is a healthy, happy dog. He is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated (his C5 vaccination requires a booster in September). Are you able to spend the time to show Jack what a wonderful world it is? Lots of walks, games and socialisation. He will repay you in triplicate with his loving cuddles.
