Adoption Process

Thank you for submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) form for this rescue pet! The pet’s Case Manager and Foster Carer will review your EOI and then respond to you as soon as possible. If it sounds like you and the foster pet are a good match, we will arrange a no-obligation meet and greet for you. At this meeting you get the opportunity to spend some time with the animal, then we ask you to take some time to think about it afterwards and let the Case Manager know your feelings the next day. If you want to go ahead with an adoption, and FFAR think that you would make a good match, we offer a four-week trial, and the services of our behaviourist at no cost to you during that time, should you have any issues. If the adoption doesn't work out for any reason, we will take your rescue pet back for a full refund within those four weeks; we will also take your adopted animal back at any point during their lifetime lifetime should you become unable to care for them. A bit like a no-risk guarantee! We want each adoption to go swimmingly for both the adopter and animal and never want these special four-leggeds to be homeless again.

Sweet-natured Milo has the best of both worlds; he is playful and fun yet also mellow and docile when you want to relax. Milo adores human company and curling up like a lap dog. Although he doesn’t appear to have had formal training he is very obedient and willing to please. He loves getting outside to explore and walks quite well on lead; a little pulling at first from the initial excitement but settles into your pace quickly. This loving boy enjoys a game of tug of war and fetch. He is very friendly with other dogs of all sizes. A true gentleman, he is very patient with young children and mild tempered. Milo is a complete sweetheart with a heart of gold.
