Adoption Process

Thank you for submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) form for this rescue pet! The pet’s Case Manager and Foster Carer will review your EOI and then respond to you as soon as possible. If it sounds like you and the foster pet are a good match, we will arrange a no-obligation meet and greet for you. At this meeting you get the opportunity to spend some time with the animal, then we ask you to take some time to think about it afterwards and let the Case Manager know your feelings the next day. If you want to go ahead with an adoption, and FFAR think that you would make a good match, we offer a four-week trial, and the services of our behaviourist at no cost to you during that time, should you have any issues. If the adoption doesn't work out for any reason, we will take your rescue pet back for a full refund within those four weeks; we will also take your adopted animal back at any point during their lifetime lifetime should you become unable to care for them. A bit like a no-risk guarantee! We want each adoption to go swimmingly for both the adopter and animal and never want these special four-leggeds to be homeless again.

Loving & Gentle Medium Female Staffy Dog Hi everyone, I’m Baby. My foster carers think I’m extremely cheeky but it’s just because I have settled in well with them. I don’t mind if my people are away from home for a while – I’m happy sleeping and lounging around. But I am very happy when you arrive home - my tail never stops wagging. I love to be involved in everything and I am confident with people. Cuddles and any kind of affection, are my thing! Likes: People Food – I will do anything for it! Peanut Butter Destroying Toys Lights - Obsessed! So, if there is a light I need to get it The Hose – I scream with joy for the hose! Dislikes: Other dogs - I am still working on walking on the lead but I have learnt to walk next to my people. I need a distraction when I come across other dogs until I learn I don’t have to stare down the other dog. I need ongoing training to help with this and a forever human that is vigilant when walking me. Other things you should know about me: I can jump so I need high fences – but I’m happy to stay inside while you are out anyway. KONG toys require too much patience for me so I give up. I could be persuaded if you can spend some time playing with me though. I can snore with eyes open. I also have the cutest nose and softest ears. I am trainable. I have learnt to bark to go out and come in. I’m still remembering to do this with toilet breaks sometimes - whoops. Not cat tested or child tested.
