Adoption Process

Thank you for submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) form for this rescue pet! The pet’s Case Manager and Foster Carer will review your EOI and then respond to you as soon as possible. If it sounds like you and the foster pet are a good match, we will arrange a no-obligation meet and greet for you. At this meeting you get the opportunity to spend some time with the animal, then we ask you to take some time to think about it afterwards and let the Case Manager know your feelings the next day. If you want to go ahead with an adoption, and FFAR think that you would make a good match, we offer a four-week trial, and the services of our behaviourist at no cost to you during that time, should you have any issues. If the adoption doesn't work out for any reason, we will take your rescue pet back for a full refund within those four weeks; we will also take your adopted animal back at any point during their lifetime lifetime should you become unable to care for them. A bit like a no-risk guarantee! We want each adoption to go swimmingly for both the adopter and animal and never want these special four-leggeds to be homeless again.

Meet Scully! Scully is a 3 year old Bull Arab that mum that was dumped straight to the pound after she's weaned her puppies. Despite her rough past, she is sweet-nature and just loves to soak up attention and returns her affection by giving her human cuddles. Scully is fully house trained and is good with older kids and would play well with other similar sized dogs. She loves to run and play in the yard all day and don't mind waiting for you to come home as long as she gets her exercise daily. Daily walks are her favourite - she is very good girl while on the lead! Unfortunately, Scully is not good with pocket animals, cats or chooks so will need a home without them.
