Adoption Process

Thank you for submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) form for this rescue pet! The pet’s Case Manager and Foster Carer will review your EOI and then respond to you as soon as possible. If it sounds like you and the foster pet are a good match, we will arrange a no-obligation meet and greet for you. At this meeting you get the opportunity to spend some time with the animal, then we ask you to take some time to think about it afterwards and let the Case Manager know your feelings the next day. If you want to go ahead with an adoption, and FFAR think that you would make a good match, we offer a four-week trial, and the services of our behaviourist at no cost to you during that time, should you have any issues. If the adoption doesn't work out for any reason, we will take your rescue pet back for a full refund within those four weeks; we will also take your adopted animal back at any point during their lifetime lifetime should you become unable to care for them. A bit like a no-risk guarantee! We want each adoption to go swimmingly for both the adopter and animal and never want these special four-leggeds to be homeless again.

Pedro or his full name “ Pedro the softest kitten in the whole world” is a 10 week old kitten came from a rural pound. And he does have the softest fur! A point of jealousy with his siblings as they love to groom him. He has a very serious face, and looks like he’s contemplating all the ways of the world- except when he’s playing with his toys and his siblings- then he has his game face on! Not too talkative, although he will sleep chat when he’s in a deep sleep stretched out on his back. I think he’s dreaming of all the things he will say to his new family! He has a beautiful sweet nature, loves to eats and uses his litter tray perfectly every time. He would suit a home with other friendly cats- as he loves a head bump with the other resident cats. And cat friendly dogs. We would love Pedro to be adopted with his sister Poppy, for the discounted adoption fee of $300 for the pair.
