Adoption Process

Thank you for submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) form for this rescue pet! The pet’s Case Manager and Foster Carer will review your EOI and then respond to you as soon as possible. If it sounds like you and the foster pet are a good match, we will arrange a no-obligation meet and greet for you. At this meeting you get the opportunity to spend some time with the animal, then we ask you to take some time to think about it afterwards and let the Case Manager know your feelings the next day. If you want to go ahead with an adoption, and FFAR think that you would make a good match, we offer a four-week trial, and the services of our behaviourist at no cost to you during that time, should you have any issues. If the adoption doesn't work out for any reason, we will take your rescue pet back for a full refund within those four weeks; we will also take your adopted animal back at any point during their lifetime lifetime should you become unable to care for them. A bit like a no-risk guarantee! We want each adoption to go swimmingly for both the adopter and animal and never want these special four-leggeds to be homeless again.

Ruby – Loyal and fun loving We call her Rubylicious because, like fergalicious, she sure makes all the dogs (and people) crazy!! Ruby’s a fun wolfhound X pup who is a very loyal girl who just wants to be loved and to love her forever human/family. She has a big heart and is good with adults, children and med to big dogs. She should go to a home without cats - she is far too interested in them! As a young dog she is still learning to focus and live in her body (she is a clumsy girl at times). She is also learning how to behave as part of a family and will need her humans to continue her training. She knows how to sit on command and is learning ‘stay’. She loves bird watching, playing with other dogs, playing with her toys and going on walks. We think she might be a good running partner. She experiences separation anxiety and will need her human to work with her on this. She would do well in a home with someone who is home more than not and ideally with another young dog to play with. She is in care in Clyde North.
