Adoption Process

Thank you for submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) form for this rescue pet! The pet’s Case Manager and Foster Carer will review your EOI and then respond to you as soon as possible. If it sounds like you and the foster pet are a good match, we will arrange a no-obligation meet and greet for you. At this meeting you get the opportunity to spend some time with the animal, then we ask you to take some time to think about it afterwards and let the Case Manager know your feelings the next day. If you want to go ahead with an adoption, and FFAR think that you would make a good match, we offer a four-week trial, and the services of our behaviourist at no cost to you during that time, should you have any issues. If the adoption doesn't work out for any reason, we will take your rescue pet back for a full refund within those four weeks; we will also take your adopted animal back at any point during their lifetime lifetime should you become unable to care for them. A bit like a no-risk guarantee! We want each adoption to go swimmingly for both the adopter and animal and never want these special four-leggeds to be homeless again.

Mumma loves people, snuggles and can never get enough pats. She really enjoys her food and is very eager to please. Mumma adores snoozing in the sun and sleeping in front of the fireplace. Mumma is friendly girl and would prefer a home with people who don’t work full-time. She walks well on the lead, and has all her manners. Mumma isn’t too interested in other dogs and can be a little unsure at times. On a walk Mumma can be cautious and tries to avoid people pushing prams/bikes/loud engine noises such as trucks/trams and motorcycles. With love care and patience this can be overcome. Mumma is fine with kids, but as she has a tendency to get a little excited and can be startled by sudden noise, she’s only suited to a home with older kids. Mumma hasn’t been cat tested but on a walk she has ignored any she’s encountered. Mumma is suited to a single dog household only.
