Adoption Process

Thank you for submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) form for this rescue pet! The pet’s Case Manager and Foster Carer will review your EOI and then respond to you as soon as possible. If it sounds like you and the foster pet are a good match, we will arrange a no-obligation meet and greet for you. At this meeting you get the opportunity to spend some time with the animal, then we ask you to take some time to think about it afterwards and let the Case Manager know your feelings the next day. If you want to go ahead with an adoption, and FFAR think that you would make a good match, we offer a four-week trial, and the services of our behaviourist at no cost to you during that time, should you have any issues. If the adoption doesn't work out for any reason, we will take your rescue pet back for a full refund within those four weeks; we will also take your adopted animal back at any point during their lifetime lifetime should you become unable to care for them. A bit like a no-risk guarantee! We want each adoption to go swimmingly for both the adopter and animal and never want these special four-leggeds to be homeless again.

Oscar is a stately older gentleman who is just divine. Very affectionate, he loves to oversee all activities and is a bit of a bossy boots. His head butts are very demanding, and he knows the best way to secure pats is to pin you down and start kneading - no one can resist his relaxed face, as his eyes half close and his mouth droops open! Oscar is living with other sedate cats and a dog, and gets along fine with all, as long as he gets his way. The softest bed, first pick at the food, these are all rights that he insists on exercising. Oscar appears to have very bad reactions to insect bites, so it is imperative that he is kept indoors at all times. Perfectly house trained, he is very easy to have inside. He is also absolutely useless at defending himself, as he thinks flopping over to express his displeasure will stop a dog from trying to eat him (possibly not the smartest kitteh) Is Oscar the one for you?
