Adoption Process

Thank you for submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) form for this rescue pet! The pet’s Case Manager and Foster Carer will review your EOI and then respond to you as soon as possible. If it sounds like you and the foster pet are a good match, we will arrange a no-obligation meet and greet for you. At this meeting you get the opportunity to spend some time with the animal, then we ask you to take some time to think about it afterwards and let the Case Manager know your feelings the next day. If you want to go ahead with an adoption, and FFAR think that you would make a good match, we offer a four-week trial, and the services of our behaviourist at no cost to you during that time, should you have any issues. If the adoption doesn't work out for any reason, we will take your rescue pet back for a full refund within those four weeks; we will also take your adopted animal back at any point during their lifetime lifetime should you become unable to care for them. A bit like a no-risk guarantee! We want each adoption to go swimmingly for both the adopter and animal and never want these special four-leggeds to be homeless again.

Freya is a stunning lady with a tragic past - a homeless young mum whilst still basically a kitten herself, she lost all but one of her babies under awful circumstances. Her courage saved her remaining kitten, and she was a wonderful mother right up till he found his Forever Home earlier this year. Now it is time for Freya to find a special home of her own where she can shine. Freya does take a little time to warm up to new people, but once she knows you can be trusted you will have a purring sweet lap cat, who loves her couch time and is generous with head butts. Amazingly Freya gets along beautifully with cat friendly dogs, and has a lot of doggy characteristics herself, so with careful introductions could be the perfect feline addition to your doggy home. She would also be happy as an only cat, or with other cat friendly cats, so really she is ready to fit into any home!
