Adoption Process

Thank you for submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) form for this rescue pet! The pet’s Case Manager and Foster Carer will review your EOI and then respond to you as soon as possible. If it sounds like you and the foster pet are a good match, we will arrange a no-obligation meet and greet for you. At this meeting you get the opportunity to spend some time with the animal, then we ask you to take some time to think about it afterwards and let the Case Manager know your feelings the next day. If you want to go ahead with an adoption, and FFAR think that you would make a good match, we offer a four-week trial, and the services of our behaviourist at no cost to you during that time, should you have any issues. If the adoption doesn't work out for any reason, we will take your rescue pet back for a full refund within those four weeks; we will also take your adopted animal back at any point during their lifetime lifetime should you become unable to care for them. A bit like a no-risk guarantee! We want each adoption to go swimmingly for both the adopter and animal and never want these special four-leggeds to be homeless again.

Well hello, I’m Pip. well actually my birth name is Sweetpea but i also get called pinni, little minni, pippin, little one. omg i could squish you, pipsqueek, pipini, little ball, little squishy.. I could go on and on and on as my foster mummy just can’t stop calling me these weird names! But don’t fret, I mostly will answer to pip and Sweetpea. I’m the cutest thing since well anything cuter than me just doesn’t exist. I will play with you, watch you cook, make biscuits (kneeding and blanket) smooch on the couch or curl up beside you while you sleep. But beware with all this cuteness comes a price. I am a thief. Yes you read that correctly. I steal shiny things and hide them in secret places. I love stealing my foster mummas rings or necklaces and will hide them in boxes. She only just found her favourite that was missing for 2 months! I also love stealing Christmas decorations and hiding them in your shoes. After all who doesn’t want Christmas cheer all year round right?! I do have a special trick though. I have super sonic hearing when i turn on my little radars. I can hear a chocolate wrapper being opened from meters away. Before you have even got that chocolatey goodness open I’m at your feet waiting for the wrapper. See my foster mumma made a big mistake. Last Easter when i was a wee Kittie she would unwrap an Easter egg, squish the wrapper into a ball and let me chase it around the house. I developed such a love for the game that i now have been caught trying to unwrap my own chocolate to get the wrappers.. oppsies. I also love my twin brother Dexter. He's the man and i am his shadow. We play rough and tumble together, give each other baths and can even get grumpy but I love him and get upset when he wanders off to find adventures without me.
