Adoption Process

Thank you for submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) form for this rescue pet! The pet’s Case Manager and Foster Carer will review your EOI and then respond to you as soon as possible. If it sounds like you and the foster pet are a good match, we will arrange a no-obligation meet and greet for you. At this meeting you get the opportunity to spend some time with the animal, then we ask you to take some time to think about it afterwards and let the Case Manager know your feelings the next day. If you want to go ahead with an adoption, and FFAR think that you would make a good match, we offer a four-week trial, and the services of our behaviourist at no cost to you during that time, should you have any issues. If the adoption doesn't work out for any reason, we will take your rescue pet back for a full refund within those four weeks; we will also take your adopted animal back at any point during their lifetime lifetime should you become unable to care for them. A bit like a no-risk guarantee! We want each adoption to go swimmingly for both the adopter and animal and never want these special four-leggeds to be homeless again.

Molly and Lady are a sweet pair of very small felines who we rescued from a property with a large number of animals. Both girls are shy but affectionate, and need a loving home where they can be treasured and cared for. Until now, they've never had vet attention, but are now receiving the loving care they deserve. Lady has had all her teeth removed but is still able to eat happily and healthily. Lady and Molly need to be inside-only cats or have access to the outside via an enclosure. Molly and Lady have tested positive for FIV. This is a cat-only virus - humans and other animals can't catch it. It is most commonly transmitted to other cats by a very deep bite wound. Many FIV+ cats live long, healthy lives and don’t develop any symptoms.
